This cute little embrodiered hoop was a cute little dress. I simply used the colours of the material and stitched over them using Pearl Cotton in different ways for the different colours. For example for the blue mushroom spots I tied knots to make them even more tactile to touch. I used seed beads over the little grass bits. Yes I have to tidy up the back on this one too but I have to work out how to do that yet!

I would like to try embroidery and what you have done has made me feel even more motivated, is it very difficult?
ReplyDeleteI'd say embroidery (like that above) is much easier than knitting, crochet or sewing. I'm not very precise but I still like what I do. I like stitching. I'd say it's like most crafts- as much about patience and time as skill.
