This cute little embrodiered hoop was a cute little dress. I simply used the colours of the material and stitched over them using Pearl Cotton in different ways for the different colours. For example for the blue mushroom spots I tied knots to make them even more tactile to touch. I used seed beads over the little grass bits. Yes I have to tidy up the back on this one too but I have to work out how to do that yet!

My children think I'm pretty clever which is a nice feeling when I often feel my parenting could be better. A blog I follow intently, The Golden Adventures of a very dark horse,  wrote a good read (here) about parenting the other day. I think it is important that children are and feel loved. I'd like to think making them things makes them feel loved.
